When the suture came off of my left-upper-arm amputation, I bled to death – Breathing stopped and heart stopped – clinical death. I had an Out-of-Body Experience (OBE) and/or Near-Death Experience (NDE).

The Phantom arm/hand moving around the room was way outside my learned experiences and religious training. When the regenerating nerves grew back, then I had Phantom Pain. Until the nerves grew back, I had a Phantom but no pain. On each subsequent general anesthetic, I experienced another OBE.

Due to the increasing sensitivity of the end of the stump where all the lower arm and hand nerves attached, I had a stump revision – in effect another amputation. This revision included skinning the end of the stump (to which the nerves had attached), sawing ½ inch of bone off, pulling the nerve tube back and cutting it off half way up the stump then sewing up the skin at the end of the stump. During this procedure, I had another OBE.

Confused and looking for answers, I tried to talk to the Doctors and the religious leaders I knew. The “explanations” I was given for my experiences were ridiculous. When the people I talked to started looking for silver bullets, crosses, stakes and hammers . . . I quit asking.

Since I was having OBEs repeatedly, sometimes while talking to someone, once during sex and always when under general anesthetic, my ferocious curiosity got the better of me and I began to read books about other peoples similar experiences. I found out 25% of the population will admit to having OBEs. Many women have told me they had an OBE while giving birth. My wife, brother and many of my friends have had OBEs. I’m of the opinion everyone has an OBE every time they go to sleep.

A psychic approached me and said, “I can see your Phantom.”

I asked her to show me where it was and she formed her left hand and placed it at the end of my stump exactly the way I felt the phantom. I just had an Aura picture taken (similar to Kirilian Photography) and the aura is around the end of my stump where the Phantom Hand is.

Research has proven, when a person dies they lose 6 ounces – 21 grams – the weight of a roll of nickels. Psychics can see the Soul lift off and the aura (light) of the Body go out. This is confirmed by current technology – special digital photography.

Doctors I’ve asked about this said, “Yes, something which has mass and weight leaves the body at death, we can’t see it, so it doesn’t matter.”

It is my belief, what leaves at death is the Soul. This, in my opinion, verifies the Soul has “Life After Death” of the Body.

I’m sorry, I’m a realist and I am curious. I’m also a thinker (thinking is asking questions) so for lack of anyone I knew being able to verify my experiences, I went searching for answers in books.

I reasoned that if I could stand across the room and watch doctors working on my “clinically dead” Body and then slam back into the Body when it was jump-started, my Soul (the observer) had been out of my Body. If I was “dead” then the external Soul “reincarnated” back into my Body in the same stream of time. If my Soul could reincarnate in that way and the Soul lived beyond the Body, then possibly, maybe, it had lived past lives. Make sense? Then a verse from the Bible jumped out at me, “Except you die, you cannot be born again.” All of a sudden, Reincarnation made sense to me.

Sometime later, while in the Spirituality section of a book store, a book about how to do your own “Past Life Regression” jumped into my hand. I was pretty much speed reading the book and while reading the questions and exercises in back of one of the chapters, I had an I-Max vision. Wide awake, I was in the scene.

My 1st Past-Life Regression was as a Chumash Indian shaman from the Gaviota Pass area north of Santa Barbara, Ca, traveling northeast. I was leading a trading group across a valley with thigh-high grass, towards a large lake. I immediately recognized the area, because I grew-up looking out my bedroom window in Taft, CA across Buena Vista Lake at the Sierra Nevada Mountains. For several days after this experience, I kept having visions showing my life at a time, before the white man came to the land.

My 2nd Past-Life Regression was as a Pirate, first Mate to Captain Morgan. The first time I sailed, I knew how. I love the Caribbean, it feels like home. In this life, I’ve been First Mate and Operations Officer on a 150’ Ocean-going salvage tug digging Spanish treasure for Mel Fisher’s Treasure Salvors out of Key West, Florida.

My 3rd Past-life Regression was as a City Planner in Egypt. I’ve been a builder most of my life. I was a General Contractor. I can look at the lay of the land and know where the water will drain – important “in days of old” when sewerage ran in the street. I can build a city but have a difficult time building a two bedroom house.

This information about my Soul’s Past Lives explained the three major drives in this life, which appeared to be in conflict with each other. This knowledge gave peace and understanding to what was a confusing series of careers.

I am convinced, by these past life regressions and my personal life experiences, Souls are Spirits. The Souls are the Body auras. The Souls incarnate into Bodies just before, immediately after or soon after birth. Most Souls have had many incarnations in human bodies. The Souls bring unfinished business in the form of Karma (baggage) to each incarnation. The Souls become discarnate when the Body dies. There is a Spirit Realm of: Spirits (not yet having incarnated) Discarnate Souls (between incarnations) Incarnate Souls (connected to living Bodies).
