Out-of-Body & Near-Death Experiences
The Problem:
Twenty-five percent of the population, if asked in private, will admit to having out-of-body-experiences (OBE) or near-death-experiences (NDE). In the not too distant past, admitting to having an OBE/NDE could have caused: ostracism from religion, death or incarceration.
The Cost:
People having OBE/NDE experiences had no one to talk to about the mysterious occurrence or to gain an understanding of the significance of the event.
The Solution:
Gain knowledge about OBE/NDE experiences and thereby, an understanding of the dual entity you are – Body-Soul, how these two entities function and the roles they play in your life.
An Out-of-Body-Experience (OBE) refers to the perspective of an "Observer" viewing the live and awake body from a different perspective – beside, above, behind, in front, across the room, etc. The Observer is in communication with the body through visual and impressed thought. Shaman of many native cultures were "chosen" because they had OBE/NDE experiences. OBEs were induced by sweat lodges, native drugs, dehydration, drumming, pain, or other means.
A Near-Death-Experience (NDE) refers to a broad range of personal experiences associated with impending death, encompassing multiple possible sensations ranging from detachment from the body, feelings of levitation (lifting off – floating above), extreme fear, total serenity, security, or warmth, the experience of absolute sereration from the body, and the presence of a light, which some people interpret as a deity or spiritual presence. Many cultures and individuals revere NDEs as a paranormal and spiritual glimpse into the life-after-death of the body – afterlife.
Near Death Experiences are usually reported after an individual has been pronounced clinically dead – breathing and heart beat have stopped – or otherwise very close to death, hence the entitlement near-death experience. With recent developments in Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) techniques (brought back from clinical death), the number of NDEs reported is continually increasing. Most of the scientific community regards such experiences as hallucinatory while paranormal specialists and some mainstream scientists claim them to be evidence of an afterlife.
NOTE: Only the people who have never experienced OBEs or NDEs call these experiences "hallucinations."
Popular interest in near-death-experiences was initially sparked by Raymond Moody, Jr's 1975 book Life After Life and the founding of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) in 1978. According to a Gallop poll, approximately eight million Americans claim to have had a Near-Death-Experience. Over 25% of the population will admit to having had NDEs or OBEs if asked. In the not too distant past claiming to have had either a NDE or OBE could have gotten you: ostracized, killed or placed in a mental institution. NDEs are among the phenomena studied in the fields of parapsychology, psychology and psychiatry.
NOTE: After an NDE, it's difficult to hold onto the concept "you have only one life to live" or "there's no such thing as reincarnation." After a NDE (clinical death) the Soul re-incarnates back into the body in the same stream of time. This new awareness tends to separate those who've had the Near-Death-Experience from religious belief systems which deny reincarnation. Reincarnation explains: "Except you die, you cannot be born again."
Everyone experiencing an OBE or NDE will have a slightly different "take" on the event. However, when your body is in one place (alive or dead) and you're in a different position outside the body looking at the body, there'll be a paradigm shift in your perception of the roll of the body in your life. The pre OBE/NDE experience there is a prevalent I, me concept. After the OBE/NDE experience the concept of the body – as a separate and distinct "thing" – comes out as statements including "my body" as if the body is a possession not an integrated whole. The authors favorite saying after his NDE and multiple OBEs is, "It's my body. I'll tell it what to do." The easiest differentiations between people who've had the OBE/NDE experience, is their concept of possession of their body – my body. Those who haven't had the OBE/NDE experience think of their being as an integrated whole – I, me. It's amazing how quick you can change your perspective – one OBE/NDE incident.
If, as the major religions teach, you have life after death, what dies and what lives? If the body dies – ashes to ashes, dust to dust – what lives on? If, at the instant of death, you lose 6 ounces/21 grams – the weight of a roll of nickels, what leaves the body at death? Something which has mass/weight leaves. A fact, ask the hospital doctors.
"Common" to most people who experience OBEs and NDEs is a, "My life flashed before my eyes." review of their life lessons not learned. Many are greeted by relatives and friends who have already passed-on. Some receive counseling sessions from their Spiritual Production Crew. Many hear beautiful sounds and see bright lights. I've talked to no one who felt condemnation or guilt during their NDE/OBE experience. Many expressed regret they had to return to their present life, but most understood the return was necessary due to Life Mission personal changes needed and/or Life Purpose roles unfinished. Almost all the people having NDE/OBE experiences end up on a Quest for Truth and Understanding and they look at life as a Journey not a destination.
Here's the beauty of where we are now in our evolution, if you want to have an OBE experience, you can contact a Parapsychology practitioner and certain ones can guide you through an OBE experience. In fact, you have an OBE every time you're unconscious (for what ever reason) and each time you sleep.
Because the Body was given Will, it tends to eclipse the Soul – the Observer (wee-small-voice) – during conscious activity. When you have an OBE/NDE, the Observer is objective and presents different perspectives and information. I prefer to get my counseling direct from Source/Universal-Intelligence/The-Divine/God/Spirit-Realm rather than from man, who's will, learned beliefs and agendas filter Truth.
May you know the Truth and the Truth set you free from man's control and manipulation!
