Our Beliefs Are Our Limitations!
Our Beliefs Are Our Limitations!
By: Lance Rennka, Ed.D.
The Problem:
Our beliefs/habits create our reality. We were taught our beliefs. Over 50% of what we were taught is not true. Some of our beliefs were created so others could control us. Our beliefs create a framework through which we view what we call reality. This frame limits what we can receive from an abundant and diverse Universe.
The Cost:
Over 400 billion bits of data impact our bodies every second, our beliefs (perspectives and perceptions) selectively filter this data input down to about 2,000 bits per second - the rest is rejected. This limits our ability to gather new knowledge, learn new skills and change our behavior - adapt to a changing Universe - evolve.
The Solution:
We must learn to question all our beliefs/habits and therefore all authority. Only if we question our limiting beliefs can we improve our lifestyle, in all areas of our life, beyond where we are now, so we can gain control of our life.
Key Words: Belief, Believe, Habit, Limit, Limited, Limitations
Objective:
By the end of this article you will be able to question your belief systems and habitual reactions to stimuli so you can begin the process of conscious, self-directed change in your life.
Disclaimer
In this article, we will be dealing with a Universal Law, What the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve. My goal is to work on the conceive portion of this law with you. If you're willing to be open to the possibility that outside of what you've been taught to believe, is a world of possibilities and opportunities we have not thought of yet, we'll explore potentials of the human brain which have been scientifically proven. The Brain was created with a negative filter, i.e. no, not, don't, won't, etc. So here is my edict to you, "Don't believe anything I say or write, because, I can only come from my learned perspectives, perceptions and beliefs. You can only come from Your learned perspectives, perceptions and beliefs."
I know my Life Purpose. I'm a Dream Weaver. Bring your dreams to me and together we'll weave a fabulous Tapestry of your New Life!

Discussions
NOTE: This is not about religion. I just chose a common base knowledge to relate to the Belief concept.
Example - Belief Shift: Joseph (a carpenter) and his wife Mary (both Jews) were the birth parents of Jesus. Jesus' Soul agreed to put on the Jesus android (Body) as its Virtual Reality suit to bring a message to the Jews. This Soul messenger came from God Almighty (Universal Intelligence - UI - the #1 God), had been predicted by Prophets (who were channels for UI) and his arrival was written in the Jewish Bible. Mary wasn't a virgin and God didn't impregnate her.
Did this little paragraph cause you to get out your belief system and start negating the data, saying, "That's not what the Bible says. I don't believe that!"
Do you see, if this is true, it messes up most of the Christian Religion History Beliefs? Do you see that this bit of data is actually more believable than the Christian belief that Mary was a virgin and God impregnated her? Although, if God impregnated Mary, she for sure had the BIG orgasm.
Do you understand that the Soul of Jesus is a part of God/UI and therefore a Son of God - after God's own image?
Now hang on, because this New belief (in one sentence) now means, since our Souls are also part of God, we also are Sons/Daughters of God and therefore we're all Gods. We are one with and were involved in the creation of the Universe. We are creating our own lifestyle, right here, right now.
In just a few words, one belief system is brought down and a new one is created. You may need to go sit in a corner for awhile and contemplate this concept. Not the Jesus concept, but the concept that as creators we can unravel one belief and weave another belief.
I hope you paused to consider this concept, because it is critical to our continued human spiritual development and evolution.
We must challenge beliefs, because our beliefs are habits. Habits cause reactionary responses to stimuli - just like you responded to the Jesus example. We tend to believe our belief systems. When our beliefs are challenged, we automatically react to defend them. Does your reaction to your beliefs mean they're true? Is there a possibly that beyond your beliefs there is more truth? Do you know the Truth, the whole Truth and nothing but the Truth?
We were taught or received our beliefs from some kid of authority, i.e. parents, teachers, law, religious teachings, bosses, etc. - all agenda driven. Therefore, we must question ALL authority.
And now the big question . . . what do you believe? What are you sure of? What do you believe that has not been taught to you by someone else? If you're truthful, you may run down through your own personal beliefs and discover little if anything you believe has come from Source (God/UI) direct to you. This should be very disconcerting, because it means your beliefs were taught to you by someone, recent or past, with an agenda.
Because beliefs have become habits to which we automatically react, our beliefs become our limitations. Our limitations are the framework, template, format through which we "view" the reality we call Life. Given the world we live in is benign, then how we view the world - what we experience - is "framed" through the limitations of the template we created by our beliefs.
Our beliefs/habits create our lifestyle (all we experience). However, nothing has meaning except the meaning we give it. The meanings we give to our experiences come from our beliefs. If we change how we look at things (through our beliefs/habits), the things we look at change. As we have experiences, we give them meaning and that meaning is a result of our beliefs/habits. Because we keep getting the same results as our beliefs, those beliefs are reinforced - giving us confirmation they're true. And there in lies our dilemma - how do we breakout of the vicious circle of deception and limitations created by our beliefs . . . taught to us by others with agendas?
The Universal Law "What the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve" sets us up to prove, through achieving, what we believe. The only way out of the limitations of our beliefs is to suspect them ALL. We must question everything connected with a belief and remain open to input from outside our self. Obviously we can't believe our own beliefs if our own beliefs prove them selves to be true. When reviewing beliefs the best question is, "Why do I believe this to be true?" And the answer your parents gave when you were young, "Just because," is not sufficient now. The next question is, "Is there a new belief which will serve me better?"
A framework with-in which to create our new beliefs is, "Is this for the highest and best good for ALL things concerned?" This is an evaluative mantra, which guides our thought processes, which become our beliefs/habits. Trust your Higher Self to provide feedback and coaching, however, this will not come as a loud, booming voice. The wee-small-voice is subtle and will be reinforced from outside our self.
If you've fallen into a hole and someone throws you down a rope, avoid rejecting the rope because it wasn't the color you expected. (You have my permission to expand the rope story to include all aspects of life and how we selectively chose what to believe.)
Remember: 90+ percent of what you do in a day is belief/habit driven. Crazy is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. If we want to change our lifestyle in any area of our life, we'll have to change your beliefs . . . how we look at the world.
Question your beliefs, question authority, and create a new you through consciously choosing and programming your belief system. Questioning our most precious beliefs may be scary, but deep down inside we love the adventure of doing it. Have a great time expanding into a totally new person with no-limiting beliefs - enjoy!
