Mormons’ – members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – ultimate goal is “Peace and Happiness.” They believe/are taught that the biggest problem is pride.

Wise King Solomon of old said, “Vanity, vanity, all is vanity.” A modern interpretation – “Ego, ego, all is ego,” or “Pride, pride, all is pride.” Vanity, of course, is a place for a woman to paint her face.

Predestiny is the “between lives” choice of what will happen in this life – your total life’s movie script including the bit players. Your Soul helped in writing the major situations, circumstances and events in your Life. Why? To observe and report back how you – Body – will choose to react to stimuli. No actor plays the script as written/imaged.

Karma is past and present life pay-back and necessary experiences for the Soul to become more “God Like,” cleanse the soul, and learn life’s lessons.

Predestined events and the Soul’s agenda (to create positive personality and character traits) come smack up against the Body’s willpower and personal right to self-determination. Without understanding what you are and why you’re here, there is a War going on between the Body and Soul. That why living is HARD. If Life is hard where is the Peace and Happiness?

Buddhists believe Breath is Life. Our soul’s basic nature is to keep the vehicle (Body) running (alive), so the basis of our life is survival. Without breath (cessation of breathing), there is no oxygen. Without oxygen tissues begin deteriorating resulting in unconscious, then clinical death (cessation of the heart beat which circulates blood) and eventually biological death (brain death) in as little as four minutes without oxygen cells begin to die. The Body (vehicle) and Brain (sensory and emotional data based computer) cease to function. They die. The “essential you,” Buddha/God/Universal Intelligence/Spirit/Mind continues on – eternally.

Facing up to and accepting our “mortality,” accepting that birth is a death sentence helps to defeat the fear of death. The fear of death is the ultimate constraint. With our basic programmed in desire to keep the vehicle running, death becomes our “enemy.” Somehow, we have been deluded into believing that the Body was much more than it really is. The Body is a vehicle (bike, cart, wagon, car, boat, plane) providing protection and mobility for the Brain and sensory system. The Body is a “virtual reality machine” for the Soul. The Soul “dons” the body as its “costume” for the Play of Life. The Soul is then trapped by gravity in a two dimensional world – and it really prefers non-dimension existence.

The most basic program for humans is Survival. We base all of our decisions and life goals on survival. All of our basic negative emotions are fears and in one way or another are based on the fear that we will not survive. Basic survival is food, clothing, shelter and procreation. From this everything else stems or branches out. Isn’t it interesting, something which is made out of mud has such a strong desire to survive? But without survival, how are we to have our learning experiences and therefore the behavioral modification we agreed to have when we chose to take on this body in this location, with these parents and all our life experiences?

Because of our life focus – survive – we have deluded ourselves with the concept of “permanence.” That what we can touch and feel are our “reality.” We have become totally engrossed in the possession of “stuff and things.” We assumed these represent accomplishment, permanence, reality, and protection against what we fear most – death. Our reasoning is that with enough “wealth” we can buy health and thus life and therefore defeat our enemy “fear of death” – the fear that we won’t survive. But in the end its ashes to ashes, dust to dust (dirt to dirt), cosmic dust and vapor (water) being recycled over and over and over in a myriad of life forms.

We evolved this “way of being” from a concept of “limited resources.” Given a limited supply of anything, its “value” goes up way beyond its usefulness to our main goal of survival. If there is only a limited amount of gold, the greater percentage of that material you have, the less someone else has, the “richer” you are in comparison, and the better position you’re in to bargain for your life – defeat your basic fear. Guess what this Brain set creates – Greed.

NOTE: The love of money (greed) is the root of all evil! Money is passive, it only represents the human life energy it took to obtain it.

A common thread of those people who face up to their mortality through: a belief system, out-of-body experience, meditation, or near death experience is to lose the fear of death. They see death as only a transition. Their basic self lives on, just the vehicle dies (like trading in a car which gets recycled). Once that becomes a true belief and understanding, then the fear of death goes away. They have faced up to and defeated, taken the sting out of, death. The basic fears, in all their subtle and not so subtle forms, begin to loose their ability to manipulate and control. The basic fear to which all other fears are associated goes away. And all fears are weakened and begin to be controllable.

Soon, a transformation begins. The realization that the real you is indestructible, eternal, lives forever, is a part and parcel of God/Universal Intelligence, therefore a part of everything else. As this concept begins to creep into your consciousness, the concept of Oneness with the Earth and all it contains expands. You begin to see the impermanence of all things. The illusions and delusions the Brain has cooked up. The false ideas presented or developed as myths/beliefs, which have held you in bondage. Nature and natural disasters are just part of the process. Man’s job, since the beginning, has been to: subjugate, control, and create from nature. We are after all Gods – created in God’s/Universal Intelligences’ image/imagination. From the simplest atom to the largest creature, to the earth, to the whole universe, all a playground, a grand plan, an illusion. Everything, just props and back drops in your life’s movie.

When you can take away the fears, you see things as just stuff and things. Sand and water are just as important and have as much “value” as gold and diamonds. Mother earth, plants, animals, and man are seen as impermanent, but interdependent. We are all “One.”

You are breathing in and out the exact same air molecules and drinking the exact same water molecules as kings, snakes, spiders, tigers, murderers, whales, rats, dinosaurs, etc. Your Body (vehicle) is made up of plants (directly or indirectly) and water (mud). Plants are the result of water, minerals (dirt), and sun energy. Meat is produced by converting plants and water into muscle. Remember “Ashes to ashes, and dust to dust?” In the study of chemistry and physics, there are tests to prove the “conservation of energy and mass.” We can convert materials to energy and energy to materials, but the mass (weight) remains the same.

Do you know your Soul has mass and weight? When a human dies, there is a 6 ounce/21 gram (the weight of a roll of nickels) weight lose. When you die, something which has mass/weight leaves your body. Psychics can see this “thing“ (Soul) leave the Body. Kirilian and modern digital photography can represent this “thing” leaving. So something which has mass and weight survives death! Near Death and Out-of-Body experiences reinforce this facts.

Until a short time ago – in geological time – all the energy available to us did or had to come from the sun (directly or indirectly). We are now getting energy from Nuclear reactions which create energy from dirt (minerals). We are generating power/energy from water power (dams and tidal flows), from fuels (oil), Geothermal (earth heat, Temperature-differential (cold/warm water), wind-generators and solar panels. However, we are way under using the power available. Einstein’s theory of relativity – Energy = Mass X C2 (the speed of light squared) is a huge number/amount of energy. Based on this, a piece of paper can blow-up or power-up a city.

In the process of “manufacturing” our body/vehicle, we used natural products, dirt, water, air and energy. Not much different from building a car. The body moves, senses, emotes, and makes decisions. The thing which “drives” the Body, is the only “real” part of the whole – the Brain – the Body’s computer. Its purpose is to guide and direct the body through experiences and interfaces (other people and nature) to gather data through its senses and emotions/feelings and prove its decision making ability (willpower). The problem is the game, illusion and mortal life are extremely entertaining. The souls tend to get wrapped up the “importance” of having the Body experiences and forget their purpose and reason for being. Survival and the gravity game (attempting to escape being trapped in a body, trapped in gravity, trapped in two dimensional space) become all important and totally distracting. Surviving while playing with other bodies, nature, and gravity become all consuming.

Mind altering substances, creating, possessing, and fighting gravity become the focus. “Mind altering substances” tend to quiet the brain allowing a different part to come through – Super-Conscious Mind – maybe. Changing the face of the earth, controlling nature, making things from natural products, and the arts are examples of creating. The gathering together of stuff and things which you can’t take with you in the end (when you die) is possession.

Gravity games, what fun: all of the Olympic games, all the water sports (boating, swimming, SCUBA diving, jet skis, white water kayaking, ice skating, snow skiing, etc.), mountain climbing, high excitement rides at the amusement parks, flying, and bungee jumping to name a few. Think of the time, energy, and resources humans expend in the game of fighting against gravity. What we really desire, deep down inside, is the freedom the soul had before it agreed to play in this two dimensional world – unlimited three dimensional mobility.

The only thing that is permanent, which you can depend on, the only reality – is change. Your only real purpose in life is to use this vehicle (Body), props, and the bit players in your life’s movie to have experiences so you can learn, so you can change you to be what you really want to be – to develop positive personality and character traits. People, stuff and things, the earth, nature and your very life are only “valuable” in so far as they help you have the necessary experiences to become who desire. Spiritual growth – learning which results in behavioral modification – is all there is. Everything else is simply an elaborate illusion – a hologram – created by God/Universal Intelligence’s (God is all power) energy – of which you are a part and did your part in the planning. A dream you have agreed to create in your Brain, in cooperation with the other Minds down here playing their games.

A Buddhist saying: “Before enlightenment – chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.” How you perceive the wood and water, the appreciation of what it does for you and means to you, your and its place in the overall scheme of things does, however, change. As you learn and therefore change your behavior, simple things take on whole new meanings. Every experience, person you interface with, natural phenomenon and how you react to them will bring more understanding. You will realize how you live your life, the example you set, and the role you play in other people’s life movies is really what matters most.

When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

The ultimate decision you have to and will make is how, how well, and when you will die. The sooner you resolve this, accept it as fact, get past the fear of it, look forward to it as another part of the total life experience, and realize its just a transition back to your essential being (that God in you that is simply wearing the vehicle), the sooner you can relax and get on with your real purpose in this one experiential aspect of your birth/life/death/spiritual-being/birth ongoing cycle.

The Meaning of Life is simply about having experiences, learning from those experiences, owning your behavior, and modifying your behavior to become the person you would like to be. You cannot change someone else. No one can change you, except you – your willpower.

As long as you externalize and blame anything – God, Satan, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Other Religions, other beliefs, others actions, spouse, boss, weather, job, etc. – you are not in charge of your life. If you are not in charge of you life, making decisions for you, who exactly is? If you continually focus outside of yourself, you are giving up your willpower. You are letting people, events, and nature bounce you around like the ball in a pin-ball machine. You must be proactive in your life. Take responsibility for your actions and behaviors. If you don’t like them, change them – it’s that simple, it may not be easy, but it is that simple.

You, God, go forth and create a fun, adventure-filled, peaceful and happy Life. Let your genius and greatness lose and enjoy the process of Life. Trust your self and listen to your intuition. May the Power be with you and so it is!
